Black Friday

Oh I am sooo glad that Black Friday is OVER!! Yes, working in retail, I had to be there, up before the sun even thinks about coming out, and it's freezing outside! However I'm not alone in my journey...there are people that actually get out there at that time because they WANT to!! Crazy in my opinion. I like my sleep, plain and simple. Yes, you can get great deals, but most everything I ever want will still be there when I get off work :) Here are just a few stories of the day from where I work:

One lady went thru a checklane with 6 yes 6 carts full of stuff...her total you might ask? Almost 25oo dollars! And then the other notible mention, and if you are squimish you may want to stop reading right now. A lady in line, had a 6 pack of gaterade, and chugged 3 of them all in a row...no one is quite certain why she did this. We aren't talking the little ones, these were at least the 20oz ones. Well I think we all know what happens when you drink too much way to fast right? Yep you guessed it, she spewed ALLLLLL over the place. Not even asking for a bag, or trashcan or not even stepping out of line and leaning over. She just spewed. All over herself, all over everyone else, merchandise, EVERYWHERE! She not only did this once, but TWICE!!!! So glad I wasn't on the clean up crew for that day! I asked one of the other girls I work with if it was because she didn't want to have to leave her stuff and get out of line to make it to the bathroom, and here is the kicker: She wasn't by herself! She had someone else with her in line that was actually buying the stuff!!!! And, that is why I don't like Black Friday. It kinda makes people crazy and loose sight of all reason. Ok, my rant is over LOL

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We had a quiet one here, and didn't even get to eat turkey. That is tonight. Ryan worked the 3-11 shift at work insted of the graveyard shift so that I could be at work the next day at 4:45am. After that shift I wasn't in the mood to try and do a Thanksgiving dinner, so tonight it is. Better late then never right? :)

I think that about sums up what has been going on, just busy, busy time of year for all of us! Hugs to all!

I'm a slacker!

I know! I know! It's been a while since I've updated the blog. Not much going on, just been busy with work and the kids. Life seems to kinda take control like that. Well, Today is CJ's 2nd Birthday!! I can't believe he is 2! We sure love him, and he always puts a smile on our faces! Happy Birthday Big Boy!

We recently went to Salt Lake for Ryan's brothers wedding. We had lots of fun and it was great to see everyone(although we were sad because some of our family was missing :( ) We got to go to the aquarium that is in Sandy. That was really fun for the kids. Hope this finds you all happy and healthy! Pardon the quality of the pictures, I forgot my camera, and the phone was the best I could do :)

We had an AWESOME time camping with all our friends! The only thing that was bad about it was the mosquitos! They were horrid. All the kids look like they have the chicken pox from getting bitten so bad. :( We had a huge group and it was tons of fun! So, pictures will be coming soon. I just have to get them off my camera and onto the computer. Should be later today hopefully. Can I say how quiet my house is without my two oldest home right now?? It's crazy, and a little eerie lol Cj is not sure what to think of it yet. He is enjoying the attention he is getting though. Ummmm

So I had no idea what to title this entry. LOL Anyhow...It's been a couple of busy weeks and it's gonna be busy still. We all just got over having strep throat...Yay fun for us! But we are all on the mend! Zack has boy scouts day camp tomorow, he is looking forward to that, he is super excited. We are going camping this weekend. We are excited about that. We get to see our good friends the Allen's that moved away last summer. We have missed them tons! And then on the 28th my parents are taking Zack and Kelley for 2 whole weeks!!!! They are excited because they are gonna do swimming lessons and go camping. We are excited, we will have a little bit of sanity time! I don't think CJ is gonna know what to do without his older sister and brother. He will get lots of attention from mom and dad though, and I know he will LOVE it. Other than that, school is out, and Kelley is anxious for school to start again because this year she actually gets to go! Don't know who is more excited, her or me!
I totally forgot to post yesterday for Father's Day. Silly me! So, here is a late Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there, and especially my wonderful husband! The kids love him so much and love to spend time with him. Especially Kelley. She is Daddy's Little Girl for sure! He is such a good daddy. We love you!

Can't sleep...

So, here it is, 2:48 in the am and I'm not asleep! Why is that??? Wish I knew! So, I am playing with my blog, and made a new background for you all to look at! With that in mind...if any of you ever want a layout made for you, let me know, I would love to make one for you! I would also make the header for you too.

Anyone else ready for Summer to get here? I know, here in Idaho, we are still having some pretty rotten cold days, and I'm just wanting it to be WARM! We had about 3 REALLY nice days, kids were all in shorts, and then what do we get...SNOW! So not fair.

School is winding down for everyone. Ryan has finals in 2 weeks and then he is done until next semester starts. And Zack, he is in until June 4th, I think. Somewhere around there. That still seems sooo late to me! When I went to school we usually always got out around the 3rd week of May. We are planning to do lots of camping this summer...hopefully. But, we don't have anything else major planned except to do lots of deep cleaning, and going thru and getting rid of LOTS and LOTS of things we don't use or need anymore. I'm thinking a yard sale is going to be in order!

Well today my dear daughter turned 5 years old! I can't believe how time flies. We sure have enjoyed having her (yes, even her sassiness!) We have watched her over the past year grow and mature into a great little girl. Never a dull moment and lots of fun when she is around. She loves the world around her. I've added some pictures of the birthday girl.

A couple Kelleyisms for you all...

So, the other day, Kelley was sticking anything and everything in her mouth and chewing on it. She saw it, she was chewing on it. So, I asked her, are you getting teeth or something, because you are chewing on EVERYTHING!? She looks at me and says, Not the walls!...I stand corrected, it was not everything! LOL

And the other, She had fallen asleep on the couch, and I just left her there instead of changing her out of her clothes and putting her in her bed. Well, in the middle of the night she comes in and wants to sleep with me in my bed, so I pull her jeans off so she would be more comfy. When she wakes up, she says "MOM! Why don't I have any pants on?!" and I say, "Because I pulled them off of you in the middle of the night." Kelley: "OH, I don't remember that." Me: Well, you were probably half asleep" Kelley: OH Did I have one eye open and eye closed?, Cuz that's half asleep" Haha Silly, silly girl!

I was sooo wrong...

Just when I thought that it was getting warmer, and that we were all getting better...Things totally change! Today it was freezing and it hailed and snowed! So not fun! AND I took CJ to the doctor, and he has double ear infections and bronchitis! Poor little guy. He is on an antibiotic, and they gave him some ear drops to relieve the pain from his ear infections. It's amazing to see the difference before and after the drops! They are awesome.

Getting Excited

Because it's getting warmer outside! I know, it's sad when I think 45 degrees is warm! I am THINKING about taking the kids to the park, so that Ryan can get some semi-decent sleep. I have to go to the store today anyway, so a stop at the park would be a fun treat. I will be sure to get some pictures.

In other news...there isn't much. but, Ryan and I are getting ready to head to Arizona for his youngest brother's wedding. I'm looking forward to it very much. It will be a nice trip.

I think we are all finally on the mend. FINALLY being a wonderful word at this point. Looking forward to us all being healthy and happy again. For those of you that have kids, you totally understand the HAPPY part of that! I do not like it when the kids get sick, which makes them cranky and clingy.

Anybody Else?

Is anyone else sick and tired of being, sick and tired?! I swear, it seems to me, one of us ALWAYS has something, and as soon as we think it's gone, in comes another wave of something different! UGH! I CANNOT wait until Spring! Besides that, it's sooo COLD! (I know, I know, that's what happens when you live in Idaho huh?) LOL

Ok on to something different...Can you believe the superbowl game?? That was fantastic! I can't believe the Cards actually gave them a run for their money! I was hoping they would be able to pull off the win, but it just wasn't meant to be...Still, a GREAT game! We had another couple over for the game and some GREAT snackage...It was fun.

I know...I'm a slacker!

So, again, here it is, another month has gone by, and I haven't posted! I don't really have an excuse except for life. Juggling several schedules, Ryan's school schedule, his work schedule, and my work schedule tends to prove a little bit rediculous at times! But, we are all surviving, and that's the most important thing. So what is new with us...ummm Zachary got stiches! That was an eventful day. He cut himself at school with his scissors, and ended up in the ER and had to get 6 stiches! He just got them out a couple of days ago, and I can't even believe how fast it has healed! Our little CJ has started walking! He is getting really good at it, and usually prefers to walk, unless he wants to get there super fast, then he will crawl and go as fast as his arms and legs will take him. Nothing else really going on around here, just busy with life. I will however leave you with a Kelleyism. Whenever she knows she has done something wrong, or knows that we will be unhappy about something that has to do with her, this is what she says..."It's a good thing you love me huh?"
