My sweet Hubby...

pulled together a sweet little on the fly overnight date! Which was super fun! We went and had dinner at Carinos (formerly known as Johnny Carinos). Then we went and watched the new James Bond flick. (Very good if you like those kind of movies!). After the movie, he blindfolded me, then took me back to the hotel. Where when I took the blindfold off I saw that he had candle light, and Dr. Pepper in wine glasses waiting, and also rose petals on the bed! Yay! It was very romantic and it was nice to have a night with no kids. Although, with that said, because we didn't have kids, of course, neither of us was able to sleep! How funny is that? I had no one to tell to go to bed 50 times, no one wanting to snuggle in between us, and no one feeling the need to nurse! It was heaven, now only if we could have slept! That would have been the perfect night.

When we got home, we were playing with the kids, and Kelley (yes, here is another Kelleyism) was playing with Ryan's nose. When she looked up at him and said, "Are your buggers bigger than mine dad?" Hahaha! It makes perfect sense to her when you think about it...His nose is bigger than hers, so shouldn't the buggers coming out of it be bigger too? So cute!

That's about all I have for today. Waiting for our shows to come on and then straight to bed for us! Until next time...Hugs!

Well, today marks our 9th wedding anniversary!!! I cannot believe that it has been 9 years! I can't say that it has been easy. NOT at all, and this past year has probably been the hardest so far. However, this year has brought us closer than I could ever imagine. Definitely not where I thought we would be, but, it's all been worth it. He is a wonderful man, and I am very grateful for what he is doing to support his family! I am excited. He has something planned, and he will not tell me what it is. We are actually going on a OVERNIGHT date! GASP! I don't know if I will be able to survive. It has been soooo long since I have had a night with him alone and I am super excited!

He is a super dad, and loves his kids! I know he would like to spend more time with them then he gets too, but he is working, and going to school, and so we understand that he is really busy. His kids love to play with him when they get the chance, and I just love to watch him with them.

I love you Ryan! And I could never imagine what life would be without you by my side!

Yeah, I know...

Christmas layout and songs already is probably what most of you are thinking. Well, the reason behind it is this: I am "kinda" in the mood for the season, and if you work in retail like I do, you have been seeing Christmas since Halloween. Well I figured I had better get it changed, before I am completly burned. Hugs!

Why bother?

So, we made it to church today (go us!). BUT, the whole time I was there, I don't think I got anything out of it. Why? You may ask...well for those of you that have kids, I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. Especially if you have a baby that is still nursing. During Sacrament meeting, between telling the other kids to sit down and be quiet while chasing the baby I didn't get anything out of it at all. Yay for Primary, I just only hope that my kids are behaving themselves and listening like they should be! Sunday School seems like a joke to me, but that is just because I don't often get to go. That is the time when Cardon seems to think he needs to nurse, and then fights going to sleep. However, if he does manage to go to sleep, of course it's not long enough to last all the way thru Relief Society, so then AGAIN I have to chase and fight and keep his noises to a minimum. So, I feel like I come away with gaining nothing! BUT, the kids were in Primary and Kelley was singing a song they are starting to learn for the Christmas program, so not all is lost! It was very sweet, and knowing my children are learning and growing in the spirit is not a lost cause, so we continue to go!

Ok rant over! Thanks for reading! Hugs!

Just some random thoughts...

So as I'm sitting here watching a football game (I know, shocker), my mind is wandering back to some of the funny things my childern have said over the past little bit. The most recent being Kelley...Ryan had just come home from a field trip for school in which he did a lot of hiking. So naturally he was sweaty and wet. So he came home, took off his shirt and was cooling off. Well Kelley came into the bedroom and looked at daddy with a funny grin on her face and said, "Daddy, why do you have fur on your chest?" Ryan and I were just laughing, but the odd thing is, is that she has seen him with his shirt off before, so we don't know where the question came from.

Another, Kelleyism, as we have come to call them around here...we were out and about doing some errands and she had to go to the restroom. Well while we were in there, she decided she was going to give me an anatomy lesson...(fair warning here...this might offend some, but I hope not). She said "Mom, girls have "chinas" and boys don't." ! Haha! I didn't have the heart to correct her. I have no idea where she was learning about the body, but it made me laugh none the less.

And the last one that gets me everytime I think about it: Yes, it's Kelley again... Cardon (also known as C.J. around here) was about 2 months old. Ryan and I were in bedroom as was Kelley and CJ. Kelley was on the bed holding her baby brother. I see her put her ear to his mouth, like she is listening to him tell her something. She then looks up and says, " Mom, baby CJ thinks you're an idiot, BUT I don't think that at all!"

Oh that girl is definitely full of ideas, and she is not afraid to share them.

Also, some more random thoughts...

I'm soooo glad that gas prices are going down! I don't know what it looks like anywhere else wherever you all may live, but if they are going down there too, I'm sure you are glad as well!

I am sooo not looking forward to the day after Thanksgiving! Black Friday as it is called in the retail world. Luckily I don't have to be at work at 4am this year! So to those of you that are crazy enough to go shopping on that day...Happy Shopping!

Well I need to tend to a crying baby, so I guess that is it for now. Until next time. Hugs!

No Clue...

SO, now here it is 2 months later, and I still have not got the hang of this blog thing! I'm sooo bad. I really should be able to figure this out. So, to any of you out there that read this post, please help me! LOL I want to change my layout to something cute, but have no idea how to, so you are just stuck looking at this plain boring one.

So in other news, Our little Cardon turned the big 1 on October 11th. I cannot believe that he is already that old. He is growing, but he is still pretty small. He now weighs 18 pounds. And is about 27 inches long. To put it in perspective, he is wearing size 2 diapers still and we just moved him into 6-9 month clothing. The doctors say that height to weight ratio he is perfect, and since he has short parents, they aren't concerned. I will post some pictures of him digging into his cake. He likes to eat, and he REALLY enjoyed his cake!

Halloween was fun. We all dressed up and went to our wards Trunk or Treat. That was on Thursday night. Then on Friday, we all got dressed up again(yes, even Ryan and I), and went to the mall to do our trick or treating. Ryan was a Mideval Knight, and I was a Queen. Zachary was a dementor from Harry Potter, Kelley was a spider, and Cardon was a Little Devil.

I will post some pics from that too.

Ummmm, lets see what else I can tell you about what's going on in the busy life that is ours. Ryan is taking college classes (14 credits) while also working 32 hours on a graveyard shift. Needless to say, I don't see him much. I am still working part-time at Target, and right now it's starting to get a little crazy with the holiday season upon us. I am sooo not looking forward to Black Friday at all! Zachary is in 2nd grade this year. He is actually in a combination class that is made up of 11 first graders and 7 second graders. He really enjoys it, and loves math! Which I know he certainly did NOT get that from his momma. Kelley is 4 and is such a little diva. I swear she is going on 13! Pink and Purple are her favorite colors(of course) and she loves anything to do with the Disney Princesses. She says Belle is her favorite because she looks just like her.

Well I hope I can continue to update this more often. I enjoy reading and being able to keep in touch with all of my old friends. Hope you are all doing well. So, until next time. Hugs!
